Privacy policy

This website belongs to Yervant Vartanian, residential real estate broker with RE/MAX du Cartier Bonjour. It explains what personal information this site collects and why, in keeping with Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.

Two policies, and which one applies

Yervant Vartanian practises through RE/MAX du Cartier Bonjour. The personal information you provide as a client — everything gathered to carry out a purchase, a sale, or a brokerage file — is held under the agency's privacy policy, which also names the person responsible for the protection of personal information at the agency and gives their current contact details:

That policy governs the brokerage relationship. The page you are reading covers only this website, which is operated independently of the agency's own site and collects different things — most notably, it uses no cookies at all.

What this website collects

Only what you choose to send. There is no account to create, and nothing is required to browse.

• Contact form: whether you are buying or selling, your name, email address, and message (required), plus phone number, property type, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and the area you are interested in (optional).
• Open-house sign-in form (published only while an open house is actually scheduled): your name, email address, and home address (required), plus phone number, whether a broker already represents you, and any comment (optional).
• Technical data: our hosting provider records standard server information such as IP addresses in its security and delivery logs. We do not use it to identify or profile visitors.

No cookies, no tracking

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising pixels, or profiling technology whatsoever. Nothing follows you to other websites, so there is nothing here for you to opt out of.

Why it is collected

• To answer your question and follow up about your project.
• To provide the real estate brokerage services you asked for.
• To know who attended an open house, and to follow up about that property.
• To meet the legal and regulatory obligations that apply to real estate brokers.

Your personal information is never sold, and never shared for anyone else's marketing.

Consent

Sending a form is your consent to be contacted for the purposes above. You may withdraw it at any time by writing to yervant.vartanian@remax-quebec.com; we will stop contacting you and delete what we hold, unless the law requires it to be kept.

Who else receives it, and where it is held

Form submissions are delivered by Formspree, a form-processing service, and this site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Both run servers outside Québec, in the United States, so your information is transmitted and stored outside the province and is subject to the laws there. Where a brokerage file requires it, your information also goes to RE/MAX du Cartier Bonjour and is then covered by the agency policy linked above. We disclose information to anyone else only where the law obliges us to.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that do not lead anywhere are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. Once information forms part of a brokerage file it follows the agency's retention rules — the agency's policy sets out those periods, and real estate records are generally retained for six years after a file is closed.

Your rights

Under Law 25 you may, at any time and free of charge:

• ask what personal information is held about you, and get a copy;
• have anything inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date corrected;
• withdraw your consent and ask that we stop contacting you;
• ask that information be deleted where there is no longer a reason to keep it.

For anything about this website or your contact with Yervant Vartanian directly, write to yervant.vartanian@remax-quebec.com. For a formal access or rectification request about a brokerage file, address it to the person responsible for the protection of personal information at RE/MAX du Cartier Bonjour, whose contact details appear in the agency's policy. The law allows 30 days for a reply. If the answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec .

Security

The site is served entirely over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), keeps no database of its own, and stores nothing in your browser. Form submissions travel encrypted to the service that delivers them.

Changes

Any revision will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
